Blogger’s Bio

Kassie Rose, Book Critic, WOSU Public Media

I am the book critic for WOSU 89.7 FM, an NPR member station broadcasting throughout central Ohio. In addition to monthly radio reviews, I recommend books on WOSU All Sides Weekend Books, a live show where readers call in to talk about their favorite reads. I meet with book clubs and frequently speak on the topic of how to find good books and the art of reviewing.

With funding from the Ohio Humanities Council, I produced and hosted Ohioana Authors, a weekly WOSU radio show that won the Ohio Public Broadcasting Program of the Year Award and also the Arts and Cultural Affairs Award for Series Programming.

I’ve served as a Literature Advisory Panelist for the Ohio Arts Council, and I’m a recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artists Grant for fiction. My memberships include the National Book Critics Circle and The Aldus Society, which is a local chapter of the national Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies.
