		<description><![CDATA[Yikes!...$700...I cull my shelves regularly because I need the space, keeping collections of books for one reason or another (favorite authors or topics) or keeping individual books that are special to me.  But I&#039;m trying to live by &quot;Life is too short to read (i.e., finish) bad books.&quot; -- the corollary of which is &quot;Shelf space is too precious to keep books that don&#039;t connect with me.&quot;  That means I don&#039;t keep books purely for investment.  And it also means -- confession -- that I keep Readers Digest Condensed volumes that were special to me at one time in my life.  (How many collectors are cringing at THAT right now?!)  So I guess I&#039;ll never make a fortune off my books, but I&#039;ll always be surrounded by my &quot;book friends.&quot; (Grin.)]]></description>
